there might be some issues worth looking into. I agree that it is very unlikely that the result will be overturned. However, there were similar anomalies in Kansas and Kentucky in 2014 that were not looked into.
All balloting should have a paper trail of some sort. Missouri's electronic machines (what few there are) have a paper trail as well, a sort of running journal tape recording each vote. Electronic machines (voting machines or otherwise) can be hacked. I'm certainly no expert on hacking, but I think that it would be behoove states that have straight electronic machines with no paper trail to conduct some of audit to ensure that there are no such issues.
