At no point did I say that Kemp is as good as Patton. He did come into college weak and not physically strong enough to play in the post. The redshirt year is something that Patton took advantage of, he gained around 30 lbs of muscle.
If Kemp does the same, he might be ready to contribute next year as well.
Smith is also there, in that he needs to gain strength to really be able to contribute consistently
