did. He added a couple of inches to an already tall frame. Patton also went on an Italian tour as a freshman like Kemp did. He scored 7 PPG on that tour in 13 MPG. Kemp scored no points in our tour and only played two games. Comparing the two is just dumb.
IMO, the fact that he is redshirting says a lot about his skill level. Even if he was as weak as Kevin Durant, you could find minutes and experience for a player with some skill, especially on a roster that is at best a below average SEC team and at worst is a terrible SEC team. The fact that the coaches don't think getting him minutes and experience at this level is worthwhile this year tells me all I need to know about his skill. You can spin it as good but Kemp isn't a top 50 player on a good team who just needs to add some muscle to contribute. He is a reach of a recruit that was available in late June for a reason.
