There really weren't any impact bigs available at that time. Mizzou took the guy with the most upside. He also has a floor well below some of the other guys available.
If he develops it's a huge steal, if not he will transfer down.
His athleticism and versatility could potentially allow Mizzou to go super big with Nikko, Smith, Kemp frontcourt all playing at the same time.
