Really, you cannot evaluate a season just based on record alone, you have to factor in the strength of schedule. We can all agree that this year's schedule is about as easy as it gets, and you should expect a head coach in his 3rd season to win 23, 24, 25 games or more. If we played a tough non-con, or played in the ACC instead of the SEC, then 19 or 20 wins might suffice. But under no circumstances (regardless of SoS) should 16 or 17 wins be considered a successful season.
