I have often wondered why Missouri doesn't produce more high D-1 football players given it's population. Heck Arkansas produces about the same as Missouri with a total population similar to greater St. Louis.

I would think it all begins with proper coaching, from Pee Wee to High School. Maybe hire some proven out of State HS coaches with fire in their bellies...shake up the system.
