Could jeb have done that, kasich, christie, cruz, rubio...?
No doubt that fat hillary is her own worst enema. (Ewwww...) But i suspect that most of the R field would have accepted the media bias instead of calling it out...and energizing the electorate.
I doubt much of the rest of the field would have called out fat hillary, boorish and crude as he was, but would have been the polite statesman.
That's sweet, that's presidential. But the electorate responded to trump's plain speaking. Crooked hillary. A bit of junior high school bullying. And a lot of "Why won't anyone else say that?"
I told a friend of mine a couple months ago as he was dismayed over trump's lack of gentility, that THAT is what he is. THAT is what makes him trump. THAT is why people love him. He is not one of the elites. He is one of them. Ironic for a billionaire, but...yeah.
There is no perfect candidate. Trump like most people has many flaws. But his flaws are part of what makes him successful. It's one of the reasons he won.
