federal office. But nothing like this has ever come up with the limited number of presidents that have served.
But with fifty states and the corruption that goes on in many of them I was wondering if it has ever come up at that level. Governors have pardon power at the state level. it is possible that a governor has tried to pardon himself as he left office.
