No teacher can have a personal relationship with every single student. Those that try to force relationships with all of their kids are the ones that usually need to be watched the closest because they often make bad choices when it comes to boundary issues.

I have been doing this job for over 25 years, when I need ill informed career advise I will be sure to come to you.

By the way, just so you know, my job is to teach kids not form personal relationships with them. Some kids want to form bonds with their teachers and that is the best way to reach them. For many kids the teacher is just part of the furniture and they have zero interest in forming a relationship. That in no way impacts their ability to learn the material.
