economic status. At all levels of the economic spectrum black parents are less engaged in their students' education. For some reason in the AA community the education of their children is seen as someone elses job.

Ultimately there are only three people responsible for a child's education, the kid, Mom and Dad. If the teachers are not getting the job done then the parents must step forward.
