Recruiting is way more about the program than the coach, and whether that program is winning or not.
Mizzou's problem is that it has not been winning. It really hasn't looked competitive since Haith's first year (which I don't attribute at all to Haith, who is a proven sub-par coach). That's 4 years of being essentially a non-factor in college basketball.
Now, we have good facilities, are in a good conference with great TV exposure...we have a lot of things going for us naturally. If we were making the tourney and STILL not getting any of these good Missouri kids, then you would naturally look to the coach. However, Mizzou's recruiting is the one aspect that KA has been successful at (Phillips, Puryear, Walton, Jackson, Hughes Roberts.)
