That seems to be the message of the offseason, sold as the reason for optimism and hope. Its sort of like saying MU is as close to CMSU as they have ever been, but there is a greater chance that the players will respect the staff this season. When we hired Kim the predominant line of thinking was this could potentially work as long as he could leverage the inherited assets, now the fact that we have reached the point everyone envisioned needing to transition to a more long term solution because those assets are gone.... that is supposed to provide hope for the future? That seems to be one of the primary reasons to panic.
