Was the biggest dork ever. His wardrobe alone would make most people just walk away. He was a Vietnam vet. Came from a dirt poor family in Ohio.

He was the best teacher I ever had. That includes my UG and several PG's. He loved his job. Loved being around kids. He truly was the essence of what teaching should be.

You can't pay folks like that enough. If we want people like that teaching our kids, we need to make it worth their while.
