and all of them were among the top 16 picks in the NBA draft that year. These days 4 of them would have turned pro as freshmen and if you're lucky maybe one of them like Jeff Grayer might have stayed til sophomore year at best, and that's a big maybe.

It really is a situation where you are not just being a wistful old timer to say the college game was better back then. All you have to ask is, what team would be better, the UK Calipari all-star line up of freshmen, or that same UK Calipari all-star lineup with all those players as seniors? Of course it would be the latter. You basically had that with teams back then like Larry Johnson-Stacey Augmon-Greg Anthony UNLV.

Hell Michael Jordan stayed all the way til his junior year back then. Michael Jordan for crying out loud.
