However, I'm aware of tactics where you gain favor and influence by courting favor with whites at the expense of blacks. As one who's also been called an Uncle Tom in the past, I hate the label, by the way.
I actually do favor some conservative principles myself, both economically and politically. Could have gained financial rewards by emphasizing those at the expense of my other ideals. However, my conscience wouldn't allow that to happen.
