The entire concept of treating it like an evil is ludicrous.
You discriminated when you chose your wife/girlfriends, when you chose where to live, where you go in public (and don't), what you watch, whom you select as friends, with whom you confide - everything a human being does involves (requires) discrimination.
In the two definitions below, take a very close look at the latter. Note use of the word "unjust" and ask yourself "to whom". The former definition is a valid and useful definition of the word. The latter is a contrived definition which serves the purpose of allowing government to force associations.
