But I actually think the stats are completely in line with his philosophy. He builds team with multiple looks. Whereas the traditional model is to get the best 6-7 players you can and give them the majority of minutes, KA rotates 10, 11 or even 12 players. It's the "hydra" effect.

The advantages to this system is that it is very difficult to prepare for. A team doesn't know whether Phillips, CVL, Walton, Hughes, Barnett or Puryear are going to get hot and score 20 on them. Italy was a good example of this: Hughes and Jackson led scoring one game, CVL led one game, Phillips led one game, Woods led the last game.

You can only play this style if the whole team buys in however. You've heard KA talk about the ball "sticking" with certain players in the past (J3, Teki, Isabell, Wright)... In order for his system to work, it requires a very selfless team of players who aren't obsessed with their own statistics. If we get 9-10 guys to buy into this, we will go as far as our shooting percentage will take us.
