A better question is how many of them were in their 1st head coaching gig taking over a P5 school? That would be a better barometer of our current situation.
What we saw Saturday was Odom learning on the job. I think he could be a good coach, but we bought into him learning under a bright spotlight. Going forward we're going to see more mistakes than a coach who had been seasoned at a lesser school would make.
The experiences of the past year made the emotional stakes of this game higher than they would be most other years. Our program really could have used a win.
