were playing their first games Saturday. Johnson, Mason and Crockett.
I'm not saying the offense was great, or all that good really but you clean up those drops, you get a little more out of the running game, and you convert when inside the 30 and it's a different game. They moved the ball pretty consistently which is a vast improvement over last year.
Before the final touchdown, they were inside the 30 5 times and came away with 3 points. That HAS to get better. Had two critical drops on third downs when the offense was moving. That has to get better. Had two illegal man downfield penalties that were the result of players lining up wrong. That has to get better.
Most of this is correctable. Not saying it will be for sure, but it can and should be fixed.
