in state worship. How do you know many of those people are not simply being respectful, as in the case of an unknown corpse or a prayer of a belief that is not your own?

You are the one making absolute blanket judgments. I simply want to know how you can know what you claim to know. With objective fact - not speculation about timing and motive.
