for non-economic damages. I assume this would be the punitive damages portion of the award.

Arkansas Limit Contingency Fees and Awards in Medical Cases Amendment:

Prohibits charging excessive (can't exceed 33.3%) contingency fees for legal representation in suits seeking damages against healthcare providers. Also limits awards for non-economic damages in the lawsuit to $250,000

Please explain why this message is being reported.
