First off, not all polls are indeed bad. That doesn't mean they are all good either.
Many pols quoted frantically, have indeed been flawed.
Over selecting democrats or republicans, not using registered voters, time of day used to ask the questions, questions themselves, over selection of age ranges favoring one candidate, etc.
That's why just quoting polls results is only slightly better than quoting a campaign ad.
I want to know who did the poll, and how they did it, before trusting the results.
Many of the polls have been commissioned to find certain results. If they don't, they don't get paid to do more.
They are public polls, and campaigns also pay for private polls which aren't released to public.
