Particularly Kelsi Jones. She just saw a losing numbers game here and didn't see a lot of playing time in her future. Had a very good career at Louisville including a monster senior season. Kelly Schkade also had a monster year in 2016 for North Texas (admittedly not the strongest competition).
I think Mizzou gets a bad rep for the number of transfers, I looked at this a few years ago after Stangel and several others left and on average Mizzou did not seem any better or worse than other teams, although the perfect storm this year makes us look worse.
Every transfer has a highly individualized story and reason for leaving, but most often it is lack of playing time and wanting to get back home closer to family and friends, although certainly some get disgruntled for other reasons, including the very public displeasure several girls had with EE that came to the surface this year.
But they are adding up, for sure. You could come close to making a pretty decent all star team now from transfers in the EE era. That is also a testament to his amazing recruiting prowess; we have maintained an elite team year after year despite a number of transfers, the quality of kids he attracts to come to Mizzou is just outstanding, and there is just not room enough for all of them to play regularly.
