Back when Ferguson happened, there was a very large contingent who wanted Darren Wilson strung up by his balls from a street light in Canfield. A very large contingent who believed the "hands up, don't shoot" lie. A very large contingent who insisted all cops were racist, lying pigs who would plant evidence.
I offered a point of view from the police perspective of how long it took to interview witnesses, sort through physical evidence, conduct a coroner's exam, evaluate ALL the evidence....but just the mere mention of that and I got called a racist pig who was siding with the police. Even pointing out that Brown's dead carcass lay in the street for an extended period was due to the civilian mortuary service tasked with removing his body couldn't enter the area because of numerous random shots being fired...."oh, you just side with the police". Ignorant bastards.
The one criticism I have for Ferguson PD was the Chief failed to understand the power of social media being used to perpetuate the lies surrounding Ferguson and the news media using social media as "verified" source of information. It's a shame that the lies are still believed by some to this day based on those early tweets.
And if you look back on my suppositions and predictions regarding Ferguson, every single one of them came true. "Eyewitnesses" were discredited. Anthony Shahid, professional agitator, was outed as the instigator of "hands up, don't shoot", the investigations by the STL County PD, DA's office, Grand Jury, and the DOJ (which was on a witch hunt for Holder) all cleared Darren Wilson of any wrong doing.
And in every incident since, the same story has played out. The cops are guilty without an investigation. The "victims" did nothing wrong. No one is willing to wait for an investigation to unfold and would gladly hang the police out to dry before the blood is cleaned from the sidewalk/street.
VonDerrit Myers and his turkey sandwich is another case in point. If that dumb ass had been in jail awaiting trial instead of "home" with an ankle bracelet, he'd still be alive.
So anymore, I'm just playing to the crowd. You have no idea what I'm actually like.
