Interesting to say the least. I'm not arguing for or against the use of it since there isn't enough evidence on either side to make any concrete statements on it other than it helps to improve strength with less training injuries since less weight is required. I have also seen no studies linking bfr with problems with connective tissue growth factor but would be more than open to read it if you can provide an unbiased one to review.
I don't think the staff is regularly applying this for all athletes across the board. The people I know in the program seem to respect cutchlow and his training programs because they are tailored to the player and include lots of dynamic activities. The movement analysis and muscular balance emphasis is second to none at Mizzou.
The initial argument was that the training staff was ill preparing these kids for the sport and simply trying to pack in muscle which is both fallacious and presumptive unless you've been inside the program. Simple muscle mass doesn't make an athlete better at sport but improving body fat percentage and speed will always set you apart from similar athletes (see jameis this year now that he has applied a proper training program).
Also, am I reading it correctly that you are advocating for HLA platelet injection for athletes?
