it's just like how we were 20 years behind on facilities when Larry Smith came on board.

Or that when they were trying to join the Big 10 in mid-90s they thought it was a glorified Ivy league. They were stunned to find out Michigan, Ohio State etc. accepted partial and non-qualifiers while Mizzou was applying its "public Ivy" admission standards to its athletes and becoming a laughing stock.
It really is amazing what people like Mike Anderson, Norm Stewart and Pinkel accomplished given all the ridiculous "leadership" at the top
