It was a known issue and eventual problem that our roster would not be sufficient after a few year when he was hired. Granted, nobody foresaw to this absurd degree but its completely unfair to judge Kim on his recruiting ability. Its like assessing Matt Lawrence via a slam dunk contest, that isn't supposed to be what he brings to the table.
His downfall has been that on top of all his known limitations, he has also been very bad at the things that were supposed strengths. The window of opportunity has closed now because of the past failings, but he can still to some degree redeem himself this season simply by not being overwhelmed in terms of the actual coaching aspects of the job. The roster is what it is at this point, but if we also go into games as the worst prepared team that gives up all the time and has no identified roles and rotations and doesn't have sound fundamental approaches or tactical design that is only going to further exasperate the problems. In his time remaining, he should be judged by the quality of the product on the court, regardless of how many points they are down by in a given game. You can still play quality basketball even in a losing effort, I'd just like to see that.
