was very respectable. Sure, there were problems, but what coach steps into an amazingly great situation? There's a reason there's a coaching opening, usually.
The fact that there was more talent and experience on the roster the day Kim Anderson took the job, than there has been at any point since, is troubling.
EVERY coach at a high division 1 level stepping into a job either has to have players, or contacts to get players. Mike Anderson had them - he brought JT Tiller and recruited Stefhon Hannah and later every available cousin and nephew that could play. Frank Haith got players.
Kim Anderson has struggled with it. He brought in Fulford, who brought in one player (Teki) who left after one season. He then brought in Tate to bring in guys from St. Louis, and that hasn't happened.
If you can't get (or keep) talent, it's gonna be tough to win, no matter how talented you are with a clipboard.
