To be close to par with what we'd expect out of Pinkel is huge right now. Pinkel was established, a known entity and I imagine an easier sell to get recruits to Mizzou. Pinkel also was able to work off of his recent successes while Odom has the recent BLM cloud hanging over the program and University plus just coming off a 5 win season.

Hopefully he can develop and utilize the players like Pinkel could, which was one of his greater strengths.
