But stats tell a different story.
with or without him the team was basically the same.
He did have about a 3-4 game run around the Illinois game, that he was by far the best player. Puryear & Rosburg also had similar runs. Had any of those guys matched up the runs at the same time the team would have won more games. Playing solid to good together has been missing.
