not all 5 tools are equal. In fact some are really meaningless. For example, I don't care about stolen bases or even overall speed. You don't have to be fast in baseball. It is about going from first to third and second to home. Based on what is Mays a better fielder? Even if he was it wasn't enough to overcome the fact all three were better hitters than Mays and that one tool is more important than the rest put together.

Lets not also forget Ruth was a 20 game winner as a pitcher. If he hit his entire career he would have hit 900 homeruns.
