quite a bit. Finucane, Baumgartner, Baxter. And one highly touted incoming freshman, Parker Conrad.
If the rumor you heard is true, and it's Baxter, that is no significant loss. I can't imagine it would be DB, she has been a vocal supporter of EE, and anti MR. It would not shock me to hear it is Finucane, if true. I would like nothing more than to see her return to her form of her first 2 years here, but I have doubts she will ever be an elite D1 pitcher again, with her long string of various injuries, and questions about her full recovery from the awful injury she suffered when getting hit in the face at the end of the 2015 season.
The only solid contributor from these 3 pitchers that I'm counting on for 2017 is Baumgartner, and I don't think she is a #1 ace type who can carry a team. I think her ceiling is more as a #2, and she was a pleasant surprise in 2016, exceeding my expectations.
Bottom line is Lowarys departure crippled the pitching staff and the chances for Mizzou to remain a top 10/15 type team in 2017. And that's without factoring in the final fallout from the EE investigation. If he is fired I think all hell will break loose among the remaining players and the incoming freshmen, although the investigation dragging on this long will certainly limit the ability of girls to leave without consequences they may not be willing to suffer.
