the Conf Championship. We are already better than SCAR, Vandy, Kentucky, Tenn., Ole Miss, Miss St., aTm, Ark., and probably Fla at this juncture. I think we'll near Auburn too soon.

The ascension is based on your coach and success. Remember not too long ago when Alabama and LSU sucked? Ole Miss and Miss St. were laughable. Tenn. came back to earth after Fulmer. Of course Vandy and KY sucked. SCAR was bad. ARK wasn't very good. UGA was OK and Florida was king of the Conf. Then, 'Bama hired Saban, SCAR got Spurrier, UGA got Richt, and Miles went to LSU. The rest of the Conf. got serious.

The bottom line is that Pinkel was a great coach here, arguably our best, but wasn't an overly aggressive recruiter. Yeah it worked fine for the most part. Odom is taking a much aggressive approach and I think when the smoke clears after this season, you'll see a pretty damn good class signed. The staff has already proven with the holes they patched that they can sell the program.
