you’re not “****ing anything” away. The point is the guy is not going to be here five years. The only reason you would worry about a red shirt from the team point of view is if you think the guy is legitimately going to be on the team in five years. Look around- it’s just not happening if anything it would be more leverage for a guy to transfer out to another school. Particularly a QB ,because he’d have more years of eligibility left for that school. none of these quarterbacks are “redshirting”
