Non-enforcement of the criteria already shared. Do you not agree asylees are, by law, supposed to meet these criteria before admittance (and assigned a full hearing)? You think they just get in without vetting until their hearing (which biden removed the "within 1 year" requirement btw)?
Who can apply for asylum?
You must be physically present in the United States or at a port of entry.
You must meet the definition of a refugee, meaning you have been persecuted or have a well-founded fear of future persecution in your home country.
This persecution must be based on one of the following grounds:
Race
Religion
Nationality
Membership in a particular social group
Political opinion
You must not be subject to any mandatory bars to asylum eligibility.
