trade is portrayed as THE original sin, not just of this country, but of humanity forever.
Slavery existed in the Bible, and the Indian tribes, in the African tribes in Egypt and ancient Rome. And pretty much everywhere else. IMO, slavery has also been intentionally misrepresented as a racial instrument rather than a Product product of conquest, social class or sex.
The left constantly admonishes and condemns the United States for white washing our history, especially as it pertains to slavery. But the one thing that has been whited out of most history books is the treatment of captured Africans, by African masters.
Another question: if we disregard longevity and the numbers of people involved, which was more horrific, American slavery or the Holocaust?
