The hearing was with the judge who gave Deshaun Watkins a ridiculously short suspension for much more serious charges.
Usually when you accept a deal it is because you are getting better terms than you thought you would if the system played out. He is getting six games right at the start of the season when the Chiefs face the toughest part of their schedule. Even if he got the same six game suspension from the arbitrator it would have been in the middle of the season with less impact.
