in the final preseason game. Looking good in the preseason only matters if you're in a legitimate 2 vs. 3 battle or looking good enough to justify a team keeping 3 QB's. Brady Cook isn't unseating a veteran who has 12,000 yards and 68 TD's in his career and apparently him or Martinez didn't do enough to think they were worth keeping a 3 for.

Shane Buschele 25-30
DJU - 16-31
Sam Ehlinger 22-31
Graham Mertz 14-16
Max Brosmer 15-23
Kyle McCord 15-35

And more. And none of those guys will sniff a backup job anytime soon without injuries.
