The fact Cook even looked like he might make an opening day roster was a complete shock to me.

I'm afraid that's as close as he'll ever get to being on an active roster. Most teams only carry 2 QB's anymore except special situations. Roster spots are too valuable to have 2 clip board holders taking up spots.
