Because that's when the OBBB was signed and the debt ceiling raised. As with EVERY TIME the debt ceiling is raised, government accountants add expenditures to the ledger that were above and beyond the previous debt limit. EVERY TIME the debt limit is raised, there is a sudden spike in government spending, on paper. They've actually already spent the money, which is part of the bigger problem we're really trying to solve here. Go DOGE. MAGA
