social safety nets. Medicare, Social Security, etc hasn’t wasted many trillions on foreign wars.
The “Cold War” alone cost $13 trillion. 2001 to 2022 was another $8 trillion just for military operations and veterans care. We are now running $1 trillion annual military budgets.
