Recency bias (mostly) refers to people tending to remember more recent events when evaluating data and making decisions based only on the (recent) data they remember. But it doesn't matter anyway because, as I've already said, using historical trends to try to predict future wins of a college football program is a poor use of statistics and it doesn't work.
You are not looking at enough data points. Just an example of one you are missing, Kirby Moore has only been the offensive coordinator the past two seasons. And he will be the OC this coming season. Using your (failed) analysis, they should win 10.5 games this season. Maybe there are other coaching changes that have mattered? Maybe there was a money influx into the program two years ago? You are just missing so much, it isn't even worth discussing with you.
