I get what you are saying, but a lot of schools have a bag of cash they can throw at a player. The player doesn't always go the way of the higher bidder. Team culture is big for kids. They want a place where they feel welcomed and comfortable--with the staff and campus. I think Drink does a good job of fostering such an environment. I am not sure Odom would be able to replicate it.
