...he'd be doing OK. It's just apples and oranges between the two personalities, and they'd connect with different kids in different ways. That is, the money gets all the attention, but the kids still have to be happy at the school and with the coaching staff. Would Odom embrace Drink's "performance over potential" recruiting model that's been so successful, or would he struggle to adapt? Given his previous weakness in that area, I'm not convinced he would or could. We'd also have to assume that donors would buy in to Odom's vision and approach as they have Drink's. Don't know about that.
