As a mascot. We were getting beat bad and every time they scored the chief would come over and do a war dance in front of the student section. Back in those days many brought juiced oranges because of hopes for the Orange Bowl anyway students by me were getting really loaded and pretty ****ed at the chief. So at half time they goaded one to go grab the chiefs headdress. He did and came across the field running dodging marching mizzou with the mascot in hot presuit . he made it and they started plucking feathers, next came the guards and the hero was carted away
