a school finds a decent player who really wants to go to the individual school for whatever reason, sign him. I wouldn't waste time and money on 5 star kids who expect to be 1st string players on day 1. They'll be available later, after they get a mouthful of the difference in talent between HS and high level college ball.
You don't need much of a brain to dominate at the HS level. You do at the elite college level.
