A straw man argument is a logical fallacy where someone misrepresents or exaggerates an opponent's argument to make it easier to attack.

That is exactly what your post did. You went to the most extreme end saying we should end all military funding and rely ancient tech which was a complete and total misrepresentation of what I said. It is a textbook straw man argument.
