Its just harder than most realize to successfully change a regime on the other side of the globe. I agree that if we fully committed to our military, and really wanted to spend the $ and lives, we could take out Iran. That won't happen. The American public is not that committed. And that is for a reason. Public doesn't want a full blown war in the middle east. Even if we did completely defeat Iran, what next? Install a puppet regime, that falls as soon as we leave? Its just not that easy. We havent been able to do it yet. Not just Iraq and Afghanistan, but Korea, Vietnam, etc.
