The entire situation, or at least what I've read of it online, is sickening.
First, it's sickening that someone would want to assassinate local politicians.
Second, it's almost more sickening that both left and right online are in a race to proclaim that the perp was of the other political persuasion. Two people are dead, and the most important thing to these trolls is a sense of moral superiority in claiming the other side did it (as if one nutjob on either side is reprsentative of that side as a whole).
It's gross.
