we just called baseball but with certain areas out of play and the use of ghost runners.

We played indian ball like Dan. Set out two bases. Any ground ball caught cleanly in front of them was an out. Caught flies were an out. Swing and a miss was an out but you got one foul ball or tip. You pitched to your own team and threw meatballs.

A ground ball not caught cleanly was a single. A ground ball caught behind the bases was a single. If it got past the infielders it was a double. Anything past the outfielders in the air was a HR.

The number of players determined the distance the bases were apart. If just a few on each team you set them close so the field was narrow. The more players the wider the field.
